So, I decided I'd put one of the recipes to the test. I chose Sweet Regularity because it contained three fruits that I like. I'm sure I didn't pulse it long enough, because it came out in a consistency like apple sauce, which is okay. I grabbed a spoon, so that I could take a small bite. I was prepared to spit it out, but I didn't. It tasted pretty good! I could taste the cucumber mostly, so next time I may add more of the other two fruits.

Standing in line at the grocery store I read articles on Grapefruit diets and how you can "Walk off the weight! I have watched the Biggest Loser. I have done The South Beach Diet. I watched Kirsty Alley fight the fight over and over. I could go on and on about celebrities here So reading how going for a walk after dinner can help with digesting and sleep wasn't really revolutionary for me.
As for the recipes - I tried one. Twisted Ginger on page I could not drink it. I tried not breathing through my nose and just swallowing it.
I tried to convince myself to drink it like shots. It was just awful. I got all depressed about juicing and my spirits were a bit crushed. So I did what everyone else does - I went to Google. I typed in "Good Juicer Recipes" and "Green Juicer Recipes" and found page after page of free recipes and advice from other juicers. I found a recipe with parsley and kale and spinach and celery that I really liked and several others that I am very excited to try. So I give this book 1 star.
I cannot recommend it. I don't think it's a good resource for anyone like me who is just venturing into the world of juicing and is "raw curious". And I did not find the information on health, diet and exercise to be new or very interesting. Dec 24, Joe rated it really liked it. Really enjoyed the new ideas. We are regular users of fresh ingredients and the book gives great ways to enhance them.

Easy reading and simple enough to follow but clever enough to want to experiment. Thanks to Sprang and Goodreads for sending the book and we plan to get much use out of it. There is a day-to-day menu plan for following the the diet, as well as, quite a few recipes. The recipes to make dehydrated snacks like onion rings, kale chips, zucchini chips, and various crackers sounded like they would be good.
