Green states, "As we enter the twenty-first century, the powerful current of postmodernism is sweeping Western thought. Postmodernism not only denies absolute truth and value but now undermines confidence in the independent existence of human personality itself p. Greene is emphatic in the idea that to be Christian, is to be a philosopher. He says, "The New Testament is no less emphatic that Christians are to seek and love wisdom.
